Kevin Jourdain $99,347

October 30, 2008

As reported by Ken Ross at City Councilor Kevin A. Jourdain has been hired to work at the U.S. General Services Administration.

Jourdain’s appointment as a special assistant to the administration’s New England Regional Administrator Dennis R. Smith was effective Oct. 14, according to a announcement issued Thursday.

Mr. Jourdain refused to disclose his salary. which as maybe he doesn’t understand, federal salaries are public records. just as State salaries are.

So 5 minutes of digging pulled up this.

Previous special assistant to the administration’s New England Regional Administrator has a payscale of GS14.

then we take a look at the GS payscale and find a minimum Step1 GS 14 salary is

$99,347 thats with the +22.51% Boston Regional adjustment

but like I said thats Step 1 and the minimum. Don’t get me wrong, I think Mr Jourdain does a good job for Holyoke. I just have a problem with him not disclosing a Federal Salary.

No Dog, due to our job cuts, I’ve had to work a few extra hours. I wanted to go, but then it was a Question 1 meeting. I really was trying to get to the Artist meeting but didnt get through till 7pm.

Hopefully next month. I will try again. I hope CRUSH actually does sit down and talk Holyoke.

Last night Don Sanders spoke about the Victory Theatre project. The question one meeting was the month before.
